What is an MSP?2023-12-06T16:51:03+01:00

An MSP (Managed Service Provider) is a service for companies seeking a partner to help manage consultant services. An MSP can offer several benefits for businesses needing consultants in their operations.

Some common services provided by an MSP include:

  • Contracts: Setting up contract structures that are easy to manage and comply with regulations and laws when placing one or more consultants.
  • Workforce Administration: Managing workforce administration for consultants, including invoicing, insurance, and other legal matters.
  • Time Reporting: Managing time reporting for consultants and ensuring they get paid on time.
  • Skills Development: Offering skills development for consultants and ensuring they have the right skills to perform their tasks.
  • Project Management: Providing project management services for team placements or commitments.

Some benefits include:

  • Cost Savings: An MSP can help reduce recruitment and hiring costs by offering a more efficient and automated process.
  • Time Savings: Outsourcing the recruitment process to an MSP allows companies to save time and focus on their core business.
  • Expertise: An MSP can offer expertise in specific areas and help clarify needs before candidate searches are conducted.
  • Flexibility: An MSP can help companies adapt their workforce to needs and ensure they have the right people in place at the right time.
  • Risk Management: An MSP can help reduce risks for companies by managing employment contracts, insurance, and other legal matters.

At Connected Skills, several MSP services are utilized by our customers. Therefore, when booking a consultant, you will be able to see which MSP provider the specific customer has.

The MSP provider is always responsible for drafting contracts and managing everything after the booking in Connected Skills has occurred. Connected Skills automatically sends all information about a booking to the selected MSP provider, who then contacts both parties, the requester, and the provider for the contract of the consulting service. (Connected Skills is not part of that agreement.)

Usually, the agreement is already available for review before the presentation of the candidate to avoid any contractual regulations hindering a potential delivery of the consulting service.

If you have other questions regarding MSP in Connected Skills, feel free to contact our support. If you have questions about any detail in an MSP agreement, we refer you to the MSP provider.

  • What does the Matching Fee entail when booking an IT consultant?
Matching Fee is an administrative charge that covers our costs when booking a suitable IT consultant. Searching for or presenting a consultant incurs no fee; the fee is applicable only when the booking is confirmed, and both parties agree.
  • Why is a Matching Fee charged?
The fee enables a thorough and tailored matching process, covering costs for evaluating your requirements, understanding needs and competencies to identify a qualified IT consultant or assignment that best suits your needs.
  • How is the Matching Fee determined?
The Matching Fee is determined based on customer agreements, supplier agreements, and market conditions and may vary between different bookings.
  • Who pays the Matching Fee?
Typically, both the organization in need of a consultant and the company employing the consultant pay. Some customer and supplier agreements may regulate the Matching Fee.
  • What happens if no booking is made?
    No booking, no Matching Fee!

Certainly! Contact our support team for detailed information on the Matching Fee and how it applies to booking an IT consultant. We are here to answer all your questions and ensure you are well-informed.
